Are KeyNest Points useful for an online agency like mine?
Yes, the service has been designed with online agencies in mind. It’s easy to implement, doesn’t require any changes in the current key-holding system, and works with any type of key and door. KeyNest can hold any number of keys in the Points, some of our clients use the service to securely pass hundreds of keys a month.
Is KeyNest secure?
Yes - our KeyNest Points are secure by design. Always stored anonymously, keys in our regular stores will only be handled by trained staff, and most locations have the security cameras installed too. You’ll also always be able to track the movements of your keys with our automatic notifications. Head over to our security section to find out more.
Can KeyNest save me money?
KeyNest Points save our clients on average 75% of their key management costs. From staff time spent waiting or commuting to the property, misplaced keys and replaced locks, this all works out to about $250 per month per online agency (this varies depending on the company size and the number of keys).
How long does it take to set up a KeyNest Point if I need a new location?
In case there’s no KeyNest Point nearby, let us know by filling up a form here (click on the button at the bottom of the page). Once reviewed, we will contact you to confirm it and can set up a new location in 7-12 days.
How do I register a new key on KeyNest?
Setting up a new key takes seconds - just register the key on the platform in 3 clicks, drop the key in the nearby Point and it will show up in the system or app the moment the shopkeeper scans it.
Once the property has been let, what can I do with my key?
You have 2 options. You can pick up the key from the Point and take it back to your office (and risk that it gets forgotten or lost). Or you can make it easier for your future operations and leave it stored in the Point - this way, in any case when the current key gets misplaced, or the tenant locks themselves out - you can ask them to pick the second key from the nearby Point. Most agents are able to charge a lost key fee to the tenant, giving a small additional revenue well above the cost of storing the key at the KeyNest Point.
