Streamlining Remote Check-Ins with KeyNest

We had the opportunity to speak with Tahir Jat, who has been with MadeComfy for six years, initially as an Operations Assistant and currently as the Team Lead for Property Experience. Tahir shared insights into the challenges faced with check-ins and how KeyNest revolutionised their approach to remote property management.

Challenges with Remote Check-Ins

Tahir Jat, MadeComfy

The best experience for guests is contactless check-in, allowing them flexibility to access properties at their convenience. However, as our portfolio expanded, finding suitable locations for lockboxes became a challenge.

Apartment stratas often had restrictions, and sending guests to our office was not viable. Although partnering with local shop fronts offered a temporary solution, it proved inefficient and unscalable with growth, highlighting the need for a more streamlined system.

Our commitment to guest convenience drove us to search for innovative solutions that would cater to our expanding business while preserving the essence of a hassle-free, guest-centric approach.

- says Tahir.

Discovering KeyNest

Seeking a more efficient solution that would offer secure key backup and remote property readiness monitoring, MadeComfy explored various digital keypad applications. KeyNest emerged as the perfect choice due to its simplicity and effectiveness.

"What I appreciate most about KeyNest is its simplicity. Guests can drop off their keys at a local store, and MadeComfy then receives real-time updates about guest check-ins via the mobile app.

This functionality greatly aids the company’s operations department in managing our extensive portfolio of properties. KeyNest seamlessly integrates with the rest of our tech stack, streamlining the identification of completed check-ins. It has become an invaluable addition to our property management toolkit."

KeyNest's Impact on Guest Experience

MadeComfy is pleased with KeyNest, recognising it as a much-needed industry solution. KeyNest significantly enhances guest experiences by simplifying key access for check-ins and check-outs, creating a seamless process. Additionally, KeyNest's dashboard provides valuable visibility for short-term rental managers.

“While we encountered a few minor challenges that are beyond KeyNest’s control, the majority of our experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

We maintain regular communication with KeyNest's manager in Australia, Pierce, and based on our growth over the past year, we anticipate a substantial expansion of our partnership in the coming year."
